Preds \"Countdown to Face-Off\"

Nashville, Tenn. (September 8, 2005) - The Nashville Predators will be hosting a series of events and promotions in the upcoming weeks as the team approaches the start of the 2005-06 National Hockey League season. "Countdown to Face-Off" includes several appearances by Predators players and GNASH as well as three preseason games at the Gaylord Entertainment Center. Details on the schedule of events can be found below. All times are CDT and events are subject to change.

Friday, Sept. 9 - The Predators will host the first of a series of Project Forecheck office park parties. The Predators will be on site in Cool Springs giving away free prizes, signing autographs, and answering questions about the upcoming season.

Saturday, Sept. 10 - Individual game tickets for the entire 2005-06 home schedule go on sale to the public starting at 10:00 a.m.  Fans may purchase tickets by calling 770-PUCK, visiting any Ticketmaster outlet (which includes Kroger, Hecht's, and Tower Records), or coming to the 2005 Fang Fair.  The Fair, which will take place at the Gaylord Entertainment Center from 10:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., will feature locker room tours, inflatable games, live music, a Q & A session with the Predators coaching staff, as well as an autograph signing session with Predator forward Paul Kariya. Several Predators, including Jordin Tootoo, Scott Hartnell, Darcy Hordichuk and Scott Nichol will staff the box office ticket windows at 10:00 a.m.

Monday, Sept. 12 - Terry Crisp (Predators color commentator) will address the Lions Club at Vanderbilt.

Monday, Sept. 12 - Players report for training camp.

Tuesday, Sept. 13 - First team practice at the Predators training facility at the Centennial Sportsplex from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  All practices at Centennial Sportsplex are free and open to the public. For a complete training camp schedule visit www.nashvillepredators.com.

Friday, Sept. 16 - The Predators will host the second Project Forecheck office park party. The Predators will be on site in Franklin giving away free prizes, signing autographs, and answering questions about the upcoming season.

Wednesday, Sept. 21 - Predators vs. St. Louis Blues (preseason), 7:00 p.m. at the Savvis Center, St. Louis, MO.  Game will be broadcast on WGFX 104.5 FM The Zone.

Thursday, Sept. 22 - All full-season ticketholders are invited to the Meet the Team Party from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Gaylord Entertainment Center.  Season ticket holders will have an opportunity to meet and get autographs from some of their favorite Predators players and coaches.  Free food and beverage will be provided.

Friday, Sept. 23 - Project Forecheck visits a site yet to be determined from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.

Friday, Sept. 23 - Nashville Predators vs. Columbus Blue Jackets (preseason), 7:00 p.m. at the Gaylord Entertainment Center.  Game will be broadcast on WGFX 104.5 FM The Zone

Saturday, Sept. 24 - Nashville Predators vs. St. Louis Blues (preseason), 7:30 p.m. at Kemper Arena, Kansas City, MO.  Game will be broadcast on WNSR SportsRadio 560 AM.

Sunday, Sept. 25 - Nashville Predators vs. Carolina Hurricanes (preseason), 5:00 p.m. at the Gaylord Entertainment Center.  Tickets are free for all season ticketholders as well as community service organizations, military and schools. Donations benefiting the Predators Foundation (a portion of the proceeds will go to Hurricane Katrina relief efforts) will be accepted at the door.  To request tickets, please call Community Relations at (615) 770-2321.  Game will be broadcast on WGFX 104.5 FM The Zone.

Tuesday, Sept. 27 - Come play golf with the Predators players, coaches and executives at the First Tennessee Dr. Mac Memorial Golf Tournament, 1:30 p.m. at the Vanderbilt Legends Club in Franklin, TN.  All proceeds go to the Predators Foundation. Still spots available - (615) 770-2321.

Thursday, Sept. 29 - Nashville Predators vs. Atlanta Thrashers (preseason), 7:00 p.m. at the Gaylord Entertainment Center.  Game will be broadcast on WGFX 104.5 FM The Zone.

Friday, Sept. 30 - Project Forecheck visits a site yet to be determined from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.

Friday, Sept. 30 - Nashville Predators vs. Atlanta Thrashers (preseason), 6:00 p.m. at Philips Arena, Atlanta, GA. Game will be broadcast on WGFX 104.5 FM The Zone.

Sunday, Oct. 2 - Nashville Predators vs. Columbus Blue Jackets (preseason), 4:00 p.m. at Nationwide Arena, Columbus, OH.  Game will be broadcast on WGFX 104.5 FM The Zone.

Wednesday, Oct. 5 - Regular-season home opener vs. San Jose Sharks, 7:00 p.m. at the Gaylord Entertainment Center.  All fans will receive a miniature souvenir replica of the Stanley Cup at the conclusion of the game.  Game will be broadcast on FSN-South and WGFX 104.5 FM The Zone.

Thursday, Oct. 6 - Comcast Sports Council Face-Off Luncheon at the Wildhorse Saloon, 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. 

Saturday, Oct. 8 - Nashville Predators vs. Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, 7:00 p.m. at the Gaylord Entertainment Center.  All fans will receive a free long-sleeve Predators shirt, sponsored by First Tennessee.  Game will be broadcast on FSN-South and WGFX 104.5 FM The Zone.
