Travel Day/Arriving in Florida
Tuesday, 09.06.2011 / 6:04 PM
Today we drove down to the Watercolor Resort in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. It was a long day of driving; we left Bridgestone Arena around 6:15 in morning, caravanning down in two vans and a truck. We stopped a lot; seemed like we made like eight stops in the eight-hour drive, but we left so early that we were all tired and pretty much slept most of the way. Our driver did a good job; we almost came close to dying once or twice, but it was raining pretty hard for the first half of the trip so I have to give him credit for getting us down here safely.
It’s going to be a busy couple of days … fun, but a lot of stuff to do. We have our photo shoots for the calendar --- we’ll be shooting in groups either at sunrise or at sunset. During the remainder of the day, we’re going to have appearances at the Resort mixed in with team-building exercises.
I went on the first two photo shoots we did over in Destin, so I’m excited to be back down in Florida for another shoot. But it’s nice to be at a different location; different beaches, different resort. It’s hard to compare this early into the trip. But the houses we’re staying in are pretty cool. (You’ll get a better tour in our daily video blog coming out later tonight!)
Big team dinner tonight and then we start shooting tomorrow morning. I’m excited; should be a fun week down here!
